Another political pop quiz!

Given the popularity of our "culture of corruption" pop quiz (thanks for the link, Don!), let's try it again. Who said the following?

"If you have a renegade band of rightwing extremists who get hold of power, the whole thing goes to the right."

A. Noam Chomsky
B. Barbra Streisand
C. Michael Moore
D. Alec Baldwin
E. Former Vice President Al Gore.

Please note that the "renegade extremists" to whom Gore refers include such elderly GOP establishment types as Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld, and the former provost of Stanford University, Condoleezza Rice. This is like being told that your local Chamber of Commerce has secretly joined forces with the Bavarian Illuminati -- the kind of wild-eyed accusation that discredits the accuser more than the accused.

Thank God for those butterfly ballots in Palm Beach County, or that irresponsible demagogue Gore might have been president. Not since LBJ's attorney general Ramsey Clark started drinking the left-wing Kool-Aid has any former Democratic official gone so demonstrably flaky.

And did you hear that Hillary Clinton is now blaming the right wing ... for abortion? Heh.
