FBI Jefferson Raid: Constitutional?

If Robert Blake had been a member of Congress, instead of an aging TV star, could he have hidden a murder weapon in his congressional office and defied an FBI search warrant?

That seemed to me the question posed by the bipartisan congressional howling over the search of Rep. William "Cold Cash" Jefferson's offices. So now here are three judgments over the issues involved:

The Jefferson scandal is explored in Chapter 8 of Donkey Cons, and we've been blogging on it since January. Still, there is the possibility the congressman is innocent ... but then again, he's a Democrat from Louisiana, so innocence is a longshot.
